If you’re like most people who are too self-conscious or embarrassed to smile, it’s incredibly difficult to visualise the remarkable beauty hiding behind your smile.
At Hoki Dental, harnessing the power of Digital Smile Design, not only can we show you your smile's hidden beauty, we'll also let you take your ideal smile for a test-drive… all without a drill ever touching your teeth.
Here’s how we do it…
Step 1: Smile Digitisation
During your initial HD exam, we'll take several digital records of your smile, including a 3D optical scan of your teeth. This hi-resolution scan of your teeth allows us to build a very accurate 3D computerised model of your teeth.
Combined with digital x-rays, photos and video analysis of the way you smile, we have everything we need to design the most functionally durable, naturally beautiful smile.
Step 2: 3D Smile Design
Once we've digitised your smile, we’ll send all your digital files to the DSD Planning Centre in Madrid, Spain. Between myself, the DSD specialist smile architects and any other relevant specialists I work with, we’ll plan your entire case and create digital models, guides, presentations, temporary click-on shells and many other services.
In this way, when planning your care, I collaborate with a number of experts around the world to design the most functionally-durable and aesthetically balanced smile that harmonises with your face.
Step 3: Live Smile Test-Drive
Once we receive your 3D design back from Madrid, we'll create your enamel shells with our 3D printer.
We'll then invite you back to “test-drive” your ideal smile. This simply involves me clipping-on your enamel shells over the top of your natural teeth (no numbing or drilling required!) before taking you into our photo studio for some "before and after" photos and videos.
In this way, you get to experience both the look and feel of your ideal smile - before any treatment is performed.
In turn, your smile test-drive empowers you to give active, meaningful input into the design of your ultimate smile. In this way, our smile test-drive transforms you from a passive recipient into an integral co-author of the smile you'll ultimately wear for the rest of your life.
As you may well want to take a selfie of your smile test-drive, we’ll create a stunning presentation of your ideal smile for you to share with friends and family.
Step 4: Custom Tailored Plan
After we remove your clip-on smile (sorry, you can't keep wearing it), we’ll return to our photo studio where together, we'll discuss the various treatment and material options available to achieve your ideal smile within your financial budget and preferred timeline.
Step 5: Crafting Your Plan
After we’ve discussed your case and you’re completely happy with the design, timing, materials and delivery of care, I’ll provide you with a comprehensive treatment plan.
Once you've formally given me your consent to commence treatment, we’ll schedule appointments so that you can commence your new smile journey.
